How to actually use a phone like a phone (NYC Times)

The writer of this paragraph is called J.D. Biersdorfer.

He wrote about how to actually use a phone like a phone. The tips are… QUICKLY CONTACT BUSINESS, SCREEN UNWANTED CALLERS, HAND OFF THE HOLD QUEUE, AND DON’T MISS CALLS. However, I believe that there is more than just that. There should be, USE IT RESPONSIBLY, DON’T BREAK IT, USE IT FOR YOUR LEARNING AND FUN, AND DON’T GET ADDICTED TO IT. There should be several more like using the phone responsibly, and other such things. Still, one thing is clear. If you use your phone for things like watching YouTube or TikTok shorts secretly without your parent or guardian’s permission, that is the wrong way to use a phone. Use it so that you have no lies in your heart when you use your phone, and that is the correct way to use a phone.

I felt surprised at this, because my family doesn’t say that to me when they talk about using it responsibly, They usually say that they should put screen time or they should know whatever I use on the internet, and that I should tell them immediately if something bad happens. And that in most cases, it should just be used for questions that just appeared in your head, (google it) and messaging and calling our family. (for emergencies)
