Encyclopedia Brown #2 Book Review 2024/04/28

I finished another book of Encyclopedia Brown mysteries, perfect to read. These stories span a period of time when the Boy Detective is both in Idaville and on vacation with his family in Texas. Encyclopedia is able to help his father crack some cases, including a bank robbery in town and a lost bet for a violin, as well as some solo work with a pocketknife and a missing bike. Encyclopedia also dismisses some Western folklore and makes a tour guide look like quite the fool. All read in 10 minutes, extremely fun like Harry Potter. Encyclopedia travels through stupendously mysterious detective work, revealing who’s telling the truth, and who’s a fake bozo. This book and the first book was fun, and I can’t to read #3 and #4!

I extremely enjoyed this book because of its creativity, and where we have to turn to the next page to find out how Encyclopedia solved the mystery. I also liked the super smart teenage hero kind of theme, and it was kinda funny to watch Brown’s father ask Brown for criminal scenes, while he’s the cop.
